1980
In 1980, Jeffrey T. Long founded Long & Associates in Hawaii and enjoyed early success, accepting a Golden Nugget Award and recognition in "State of the Art in the 80s".
1990's
The early 90s were marked by striking Mediterranean inspired homes. Notable awards include an American Institute of Architecture (AIA) Award of Merit for Custom Homes.
1995
The second half of the decade included notable oceanfront projects in Maui and Honolulu. LAI was honored with the Building Institute of America (BIA) Award of Merit.
1999

2000 - 2003
20 Years
At the turn of the century, LAI enjoyed multiple AIA, BIA and ASID awards. Significant works include a highly custom resort home on one of Maui's most prized and luxuriant beachfront locales.
2005
Halfway through the decade, LAI experimented with a variety of design styles, from Balinese to Contemporary. The Interior Design team was honored with two ASID Awards.

2007 - 2009
Projects in West Maui's prestigious golf communities and a North Shore surfing retreat marked the last portion of the 2000 decade. LAI drew local and national press coverage and received three BIA Awards including the Editor's Choice Award for Best New Home.

2010 + Beyond
In the new decade, LAI is excited to announce the completion of their first LEED-registered residence. New homes are built to some of the highest industry standards for green design and embodies the contemporary, sustainable lifestyle in Hawaii.
2012
Jeffrey gives an exclusive tour of one of the most luxurious homes in Kapalua, Maui.
2013 - Present
In 2013, Design+Build wins big, as the BIA Hawaii Overall Grand Award For Residence recipient for Hale Kapena.
